Meredith's 1st Ponytail

Last week I pulled Meredith's hair into a ponytail. She looks completely different with it. I asked Bill if he knew which kid was his daughter when he logged on to the computer to watch her at daycare. It took him a minute.

Best Money I Ever Spent

On Saturday my sister-in-law and I went to a consignment sale at Meredith's daycare. I got a couple things, but this was the best $10 I have ever spent. I have not seem one of these sets in eons, but Meredith loves to help me with the laundry, so I thought she would love this. I was right.

Slide

Meredith figured out how to slide on her own on Friday night. Of course she did it over and over again.

Sick girl

But she is better. One week ago Meredith threw up in the evening and it was all down hill from there. I took her to school on Tuesday because she didn't have a fever and I had to go to work, but I expected a phone call to come get her. Sure enough, the fever came on after nap as well as more throw up. A visit to the doctor later, she was diagnosed with an ear infection AND strep throat. Yes, I know I am getting mother-of-the-year award. So she was out the remainder of the week getting better, mainly because we couldn't get her to stop throwing up. Come to find out the mucous from the strep was causing her to get sick, even though she was doing great otherwise at that point. Bill talked to the doctor on Friday and she instructed us to use her nebulizer with saline nasal drops in it to clear her out and it worked wonders.

She was very happy to be back at school today, she loves her friends.

On a side note, please pray for my friend Michelle and her daughter Aubrey. Aubrey has a rare form of cancer and has been undergoing treatment. Tomorrow she is having surgery to see whether or not the chemo has worked well enought to resect the portion of her liver with cancer or whether she has to have a tansplant. Aubrey is only 13 months old, but she has proven to be a fighter!

It's A...

Tinsley Morgan Rowley should be arriving in early September. Meredith is so excited to have a "baby sisser."

Easter 2009

Our Easter began with Meredith's school party on Friday. She was so excited her Mimi was there she wouldn't sit down to eat.

Aidan giving Meredith some love.

After their snacks, all the kids went outside for an Easter egg hunt. I wasn't sure what Meredith would think but she jumped right in and picked up about 4 eggs.
She was even willing to give them to Ms. Margaret so everyone could share them later.

The Easter bunny visited us and brought Meredith a little candy (we are discovering she really isn't a sweets girl), a book, Ms. Potato Head, and bubbles. Bubbles happen to be a favorite in our house right now. We have to spell it if we don't want her to bug us to do them.

On Sunday afternoon, she went out in our yard for her own personal Easter egg hunt. She was so cute in her little dress and Crocs. Enjoy the rest of the pictures. We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!
